Is it difficult to lead people because they are so different? NO!
It is difficult to lead people because we don’t understand them! Leading your team to effectiveness is always a challenge. In addition to normal life challenges, you must also manage differing personalities and the difficulties that can exist in relationships. The common thread to achieving success in all these areas is understanding people which will lead to better influence and higher levels of connection. Your life and leadership get better when you know how to navigate the differences in people. Let’s face it, people think differently, communicate different, hear different, see different, act different and do a lot more that is just simply different. In other words…they do things in a weird way! And it is so easy to expect everyone to do all those things just like us or how we think it should be done. When we don’t take time to understand then we jump to conclusions and rely on bias, defaults and assumptions. In other words, we THINK we know when we really don’t know! In this NONconference we will learn how to understand what makes people so different as well as how to navigate those differences. We will also learn simple ways to coach and lead your team effectively, no matter how different they are. Your assumptions about people will shift and will leave with new insight on how you can have better influence with the people in your life. Conversations and takeaways... + Recognizing different personalities and how to influence each one + What effective coaches do that other coaches don’t + Knowing the things that make us all different and how to lead through those + An awareness of how we fundamentally see people and how to shift that + Fun ideas you can use with your team to get them to understand each other more + How to create a team from very diverse people + How to create the chemistry you need on your team and in your leadership Understanding and wisdom are so closely linked you cannot separate them.
